Providing Help.

Creating Hope.

About Us

To the faithful of the Diocese of Beaumont,

We have all watched with heavy hearts the devastating flooding in Central Texas that started on July 4, 2025. The loss of life and widespread destruction have left many of us feeling helpless and wanting to respond but unsure how.

Catholic Charities of Southeast Texas is working to coordinate a compassionate and united response on behalf of the parishioners of the Diocese of Beaumont and our neighbors throughout Southeast Texas.

We invite you to join us in offering both prayer and practical support in two meaningful ways:

  1. Monetary Donations – Financial gifts may be made through our website at www.ccsetx.org. Your donation will help fund both immediate relief and long-term recovery efforts for those affected.
  2. Product Donations – Please see the attached list of the items that are needed, and donation drop off locations. These goods will directly support local relief efforts in the impacted communities.

Many thanks to the parishes that have already started collecting donations. We now look to the broader diocesan community to help expand this outreach.

Together, with hearts rooted in compassion and faith, we can be a source of hope for our brothers and sisters in Central Texas. Thank you for responding generously and in solidarity with those who are suffering.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Most Reverend David L. Toups                                          Carolyn R. Fernandez

Bishop of the Diocese of Beaumont                                President/CEO

Mrs. Janet - Hospitality Center Volunteer

The Hospitality Center welcomes seniors to volunteer to help serve the community. One of those individuals is Mrs. Janet, who first volunteered with the Center over 20 years ago. She recently came back to volunteer in 2023. Mrs. Janet said she needed something to do with her time and that she was tired of sitting in her chair at home watching television.

Sandy Dupre - Elijah's Place Volunteer

Volunteering at Elijah’s Place has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Over time, I’ve seen clients open up, share their stories, and begin to thrive. I’ve seen them help the new clients that enter the program. They realize that they aren’t alone; that there are people who can relate to what they’re experiencing, and those people won’t judge or dismiss them.

Danie Mickens - Elijah's Place Volunteer

I am so grateful and blessed to be an active volunteer. I have formed a personal relationship with others and a beautiful connection with those I facilitate. My heart continues to grow each session! Elijah’s Place has become a part of my life and spiritual journey. I tell everyone that God put me in this path for a reason and for that, I look forward to many more years of volunteering! Jeremiah 29:11

Ricki - Hospitality Center Volunteer

It is a very rewarding experience and I always feel good doing something for someone else. I had a health crisis recently, but could not wait to come back. The wheelchair is not going to stop me!
