WHO WE ARE

Catholic Charities of Southeast Texas is recognized by the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) – Office of Legal Access Programs (OLAP). Our staff is accredited by the DOJ through the Recognition and Accreditation (R & A) program. This authorizes staff to represent clients in legal immigration matters before the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) and the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA). The Recognition and Accreditation of our agency and staff increases the availability of competent immigration legal representation for low-income and indigent persons in Southeast Texas. In doing so, we help promote the effective and efficient administration of justice.
