Asset Building Case Management combines financial education with long-term case management, including creating spending plans, repairing credit, identifying methods to increase savings, making progress toward home ownership, as well as developing foreclosure prevention strategies. Free income tax preparation is also available for qualifying clients.

Counseling Services provides English and Spanish language counseling to individuals and families seeking emotional and mental health support. Our therapists also provide free counseling to women who are experiencing emotional distress related to an unplanned pregnancy.

Disaster Response provides financial assistance and long-term case management to help families rebuild their lives after major disasters. In addition, through Hardship Assistance, families experiencing temporary financial difficulties may also receive help.

Elijah’s Place provides ongoing grief support to children ages 5 – 18 who have experienced the death of a sibling or caregiver. The program also offers childhood bereavement education for adults working in schools, churches, and community organizations.

Hospitality Center provides a clean, safe and dignified environment where those with limited resources have access to a hearty, midday meal every day of the year.

Catholic Charities of Southeast Texas is the only non-profit agency in our region that is recognized by the Department of Justice as a qualified provider of immigration legal services. Our accredited staff are experienced and skilled at helping immigrants. 

Market to HOPE (Help Other People Eat) provides supplemental grocery products to low-to-moderate income households experiencing food insecurity. Individuals and families who are experiencing a temporary hardship may also qualify for assistance. Market to HOPE offers fresh fruits and vegetables to encourage healthier food choices as well as access to a variety of protein and dairy options.
